X- Press Marketing Mix

Price- Xpress is a new and emerging company.  Initially the business will have penetration pricing to compete with more expensive and established dance studios.  The price for renting the space for gatherings of any sort will also be at penetration pricing for the aforementioned reason.

Promotion- Xpress is a community oriented company that strives to give teenagers a place to creatively express themselves through dance.  For promotions, the business will host cookouts and post fliers to gain customer attention.  Xpress will also host a recital in which the teachers will perform.  The goal of the recital is to prove to the customers that the teachers are well-learned in their respective form of dance and to excite the teenagers in attempt to make them want to dance with Xpress.  The showcase is also to make Xpress seem fun as oppose to other dance studios that seem very strict.

Place- Xpress will hold classes and allow space rental in the building leased in south Miami.

Product (Service)
Introduction- Initially, Xpress will start with penetration pricing to compete with expensive and established studios.  The business will hold showcases and other community events to promote the company.  Sales will be low during the introduction period since the company is emerging.  Xpress will offer dance classes in ballet, hip hop, and jazz during this phase.  Space rental will also be available for a cheap rate.

Growth Phase- At the point of the growth phase, Xpress will have a small set of consistent clientele.  The business will be a presence in the community and will be known by members of the community.  Through word-of-mouth propaganda, the reputation of the business will be spread.  Xpress will increase promotion efforts and host recitals for a very low price and will move to larger advertisements such as bus signs.

Maturing Phase- At this point, Xpress will charge clients with premium pricing.  The business will be established and respected by all aspiring dancers as well as competing dance studios.  There will be more types of dance classes offered and a new wing of the studio will be opened.  There will also be more teachers available.  The business will reach out to colleges that have a program for dance teachers.  Xpress will serve as a place for the students to hone their skills.  In return, colleges will pay Xpress for allowing students to hone their skills. Xpress will have advertisements in newspapers and still host community based events including recitals.

Declining Phase- During this phase, premium pricing will still be implemented.  Sales will decline, but the business will still be known.   Xpress will still be community based and have advertisements in newspapers.  Colleges will not send as many aspiring dance teachers to hone their teaching skills.  The original base of clientele has decreased at this point, but the business is still prosperous.

Withdrawal Phase- At this point, Xpress has lost its strong clientele base.  Many of the students have grown out the dance studio and their are less teenagers interested in dance.  The business has lost ties with colleges that have aspiring dance teachers.  There are less classes available.  Several of the teachers have left and there is a severe hole in the teaching staff.  Current teachers are less innovative, and students are becoming less engaged.  Newspaper and bus advertisements have become too expensive and there is a small audience at the recitals.  The new wing of the building has been shut down due to the expense of utilities.  Xpress has lost its strong presence in the community forcing it to close.

X- Press SWOT

Strengths:
Advanced unique choreographers, fun atmosphere, affordable cost, professional sprung floor.

Weaknesses:
Limited dancing options, and large classes might make it hard for the kids to keep up and learn the routines that our being taught.

Opportunities:
X- Press offers great opportunities to the young kids and teens around the neighborhood. Teaching them dance in all categories for a cheap price, so that it can be available to all classes of people. For lower, middle , and of course upper class. X- Press is also a way to keep the young kids out of the streets and occupied to keep them out of trouble. It also can give the kids a chance to be seen by famous dancers and give them a shot to the star life. Also a chance for them to perform at dance resitles, showing their parents their success.

Threats:
X- press might keep the kids from focusing on their school work and worry more about the dance classes. Even though the classes take place after school, this can be a great distraction and make some of the kids travel to wanting to be a professional dancer, this will start having them feel like they don’t need school to for this, and begin to give up on their education.

Management Order X - Press

1. Honesty
- This is my number one choice because as you run a business you have to have trust that the people dealing with the money and the cares of the business that they are goin to be truthful in letting the customers and employees know what their money situation is.

2. Participates in Community
- This mainly fits into the kind of business that we are running because the point of our business X - Press is not only to make money but to also help the younger kids and teens around the community. We are there helping the community and making a profit the purpose of opening our business from the first was to help the comminity and make the enviorment better.

3. Support Company Policies
-This was on the top 5 for me because in order to successfully run a company you have to have some kind of order that you follow, and that goes for everyone not just the managers. If people don't follow the company policies then your business will seem scattered and unorganized and you customers will not enjoy their services and won't want to return. This also plays apart in the honest to me, because if people have to honest about supportting the company policies and not being sneaky.

4. Prompt Decision - Making
-A manager working for X - Press has to have good decision making because when it comes how we are going to keep the money organized, or how to make sure that the input and output is at least evened out, and if the manager is real good they will make it so that we have a greater profit. Where we recieve more money than what we have to put out.

5. Assigns Employees
-You have to know what employee works better in what position to be a good manager. I feel like this was last on the top five because as our business being a dance studio, the employees position makes a huge dip in our business. For example someone who knows jazz dance and hip - hop will not be equipt to teach a class for ballet or tap class. The manager has to be able to pic out the strong suit of his/her employee.

6. Improves Mgt Skills
-Manager needs to recognize their flaws so that they can better themselves and when they better themselves the business nine times out of ten will better. It also makes the employees work harder for you if they see that you are working so hard to improve your service to them.

7. Communicates
- Communication is important for the managers because they have to keep their employees engaged on what is happenning in the business and where the market of the business is. For example if the business isn't making the money that it needs to keep up with the bills for the business the employees can work harder to get customers and therefor beter the business. This would not be capable without communication.

8. Stimulate Employees
- It is important to stimulate the employees so tha they want to continue working and are excited to go to their jobs. When people are intwerested in what they do they seem to accomplish their jobs better and, as for the dance teachers it is important that they keep an interest in their jobs so that the customers can recieve what they are paying for.

9. Encourages Ideas
- The manager has to be open minded and be ready to recieve advice from the employees in younger or higher positions than them, becuase you never know if someones advice can help you gainn millions one day. And alot of the times the employees know beter than the manager because they are the main people doing the job and are more involved in the job then the manager so they know what might work best for the company for it to run more smoothly.

10. Neat in Appearence
- The appearence is something that i didn't want to put last but when it came down to all of the other stuff on the list it fell last in this particular business. It is considered last because in this perfession the dance teachers are the only people working for the studio and they don't really need to be dressed up because they have to have loose close in order to teach the students. For example sweats and such or leggings.

Tropical System #3

1. Customer Wants

This stands for the wants of the customer....basically the costumer is always right and recieves whatever they want for the money  that they give.

2. Law of the Demand

The money stands for the more money people will spend the higher the product is.

3. Law of Supply

It reminds me of a dozen of eggs and the more eggs that you buy the greater the price will be.

4. Market of Demand

This store has alot of people in it at certain times with certain consumers, and in this certain store.

5.Market Equilibrium

The demand for what people want is the same as what they are getting.

6. Utility

How well is the consumer satisfied with the product that she bought.

7. Scarcity

Alot of people want jordans but there is never enough to supply to the consumers wants.

8. Opportunity Cost

This is an example of one gas price going up so they all had to follow to stay in business and raise their prices too.

9. Production

It shows that when people buy products to make a profit they have to buy alot of what ever product they bought.

10. Maximization

Consumers are greedy and buy the most amount possible for of what they are getting.

11. Elastiicity

This shows the income and where it stands at and shows how it is leveled.

The name of our business is called the Xpress because we felt that our dance studio was a way to reach out to the children and allow them to have fun in a positive way and express themselves. This is a dance studio that provides a veriaty of classes running from jazz, to hip- hop, to African dance. Whatever you want to do we most likely have. The way we organized the classes was from the amount that you are taking. For example 1 class is $45 a month but unlimited is $200 a month. We have hired pro dance teacher that are willing to work with people from all ages, from small totlers, to adult teenagers. Xpress is a way to keep the kids out of trouble.
